There have been foundings of ancient fish and other creatures said to be myths. For instance the ancient shark they found in Japan (search "Ancient Shark" on Youtube). And how about the Giant Squid. And the Coelacanth. Anyways the question how do you think all of these sea creatures stayed alive going undetected for so long, as well how long is their lifespan and are their others of their kind? or are their any other living fossils?. I heard I may be doing a project on fish and ocean creatures next year and I decided to do it on one people may not know much about already. Soo any information will be helpful.

  1. Scientists are discovering new species all the time. Some they thought were extinct and some they didn't know existed. They will probably continue to find new things every time they advance technology. The giant squid lives so deep in the ocean that they did not have equipment to discover it until recently. I think doing a project on the Giant Squid would be interesting.

  2. The world is made out of 80% water. Ironically we only know about 2% of our waters. They have theories on how they have survived. My theory is evolution. Just like how dinosaurs may have evolved into birds, or even monkeys to humans. As the world changes, so does the life in it's ecosystem. Especially with global warming being a cause of many extinctions, sea creatures probably needed to change the way they live to adapt to a new environment.

  3. one word - evolution
