  1. ARTEST UNDERSTANDS THAT THESE IS YAO TEAM AND TMAC'S

AND RICK ADELMAN KNOWS HOW TO CALM DOWN ARTEST

  2. Top 3 in the West, top 3 in their division, h**l they may even take the division title next season, and if it does happen I would not be suriprised.

  3. it seems like theyre laying down the law with him to behave but at the same time theyre really excited to have him, i think hed be just fine he puts a lot of pressure off of tmac and the defense just went up a notch

  4. ron will add a lot more offense and defense has he can spread the defense more. he and shane battier will be a big challenge to play against if you're a star player =D

  5. not great, just adds some offense....... Shane must go to bench now, so he doesnt boost defense that much...... he crowds on offense, its like having Shaq and Dwight both starting........ they are going to be better, but not that much

  6. He'll do just fine.

  7. Ron will work well within Houston. It's his contract year and it's his best chance at a ring, especially with a coach he loves.

He provides offense and defense. I don't understand why people say him and Battier conflict. One will start, one will be on the bench. Basically, the Rockets will have at least one premier defender on the court at all times. Not to mention, Adelman can play both of them to up their defensive abilities even more.

The Rockets are going to be difficult to stop with three all-stars and a couple three point shooters on the court. It will be costly when double-teaming anybody.

  8. I think he will be perfect. Imagine: Rockets team of 09:

    PG- Rafer Alston

    SG- Tracy McGrady

    SF- Ron Artest

    PF- Luis Scola

    C- Yao Ming

3 All Stars. They will be the bomb next year if they are healthy!

  9. I'm not sure how Artest will play out in Houston.  First of all, Rockets already have a pretty good defender, Shane Battie (forgot how to spell his name) playing the small forward position.  He can also shoot 3's from both wings.  Unless Rockets decide to move him down to the bench, either Artest or Battie might have to play PF position (though it really isn't that much of a problem since Rick Adelman prefers fast pace offense, and both fo them are pretty atheletic).  In that case, they will have to take off Luis Scola from the PF position, thus reducing the they're low post and rebounding.  I really don't think Yao can take the entire post by himself.  So in the end, it's a sacrafice they have to make: low post scoring or defense.

The good side of it is that Artest can score pretty much from anywhere, but not particularly good at any of them.  His defense is pretty solid, but Battie is better.

In a sense, he MIGHT be unnecessary to the Rockets because he is very similar to Battie.  But we won't know until we see Rockets play.

  10. I think he will do just fine. He just needs to get his attitude together before the season starts.

  11. No, he's "still ghetto."

    Yao no like ghetto!

  12. I think he is going to Love Texas and Texas is going to love him.

  13. Just like he did in other citys!!
