  1. A true Packers fan will always be a Packers fan first and a Brett Favre fan second.  Favre is not considered a traitor.  As a matter of fact I, along with many other Packers fan, will still follow Favre and hope the best for him in his career.  We still enjoy Favre as a football player even though he's no longer on the Packers.

  2. The consensus among my fellow Packer fans in that I've talked to about this is disappointment, but not that he's a traitor. Disappointment not so much that he's playing for another team but over how the whole thing was handled. Also that a man who seemed to have a lot of integrity and desire for teamwork jerked us around for several seasons with his "will I or won't I" then after he retires pulls this.

There are some yahoos who are buring their #4 jerseys, etc. but while I'm not exactly wearing mine this year Brett was a major figure in Packer's history and we still love him for that, though his image is a little tarnished by this.

  3. No. Ted Thompson is the villain here. He's the one who didn't want Favre in Green Bay,so when #4 wanted back in, his puppet McCarthy was told to say no, so that's how the trade came about.

Brett may be a Jet now, but in our hearts,he'll always be a Packer!

  4. He was traded becuase GB didnt want him anymore. He shouldnt be veiwed as a traitor at all. He tried to stay there but they told him No and offered to pay him to stay retired becuase they didnt want him but didnt want anyone else to have him either. Kind of selfish on the teams part.

  5. Traitor?  What are you talking about?  Brett Favre died.

He played for the Packers, but then he retired.  He was thinking about coming back to play for them again, and the Packers were really excited about it, but something happened and he died.  I'm still mourning.

And I hear the Jets have a new QB, but it's nobody I care about.  Some jerk named Fret Barve.

(I reject your reality and substiture my own!)

  6. The official term I'm hearing is "Cheese t**d".

  7. no

  8. I am not a Packers fan, but only a complete IDIOT would think he is a traitor.

  9. No. Besides that, Brett Favre can't be singularly blamed for the fact that he got traded to the Jets. The Packers didn't want him, so he basically said "I don't care what it takes, get me outta here". I would agree that Brett Favre made a bad move by retiring then saying he wanted to come back, but Brett Favre is a legend in the Packers organization and he gave the Packers the best chance to win. However, the Packers said "no thanks" and that imo was their mistake.

  10. Why would he be a traitor?  He was TRADED.  He wanted to play in GB, but they didn't want him anymore.

It's not like he wanted to leave.  He always wanted to say in GB.

Edit: LOL at the morons that gave me thumbsdowns!  You are probably losers in GB that want Brett back?

  11. A traitor?.....

    He is actually from Louisiana...

    not Wisconsin anyway.

You go where the job takes you.  I guarantee that Favre will keep no homes in Wisconsin.  He said that state sucked and all the people sucked, so I have to believe him.

  12. no. Some of my family lives in Wisconsin, and some people wont root for the packers this year, and she said that some others still believe Brett is coming back to play with the packers.
