How do you think the international tourism and hospitality industry will evolve in the next twenty years?

  1. Today, that's a hard question to answer.  2 years ago, I think it was becoming one of the growth industries but now with our economy so bad  & banks in trouble and with all the layoffs , especially in the Airlines, I'd have to say it will be a few years before people will be able to afford vacations as they did a few years back.  Even though the dollar is down, the Euro is not "UP" because so much is tied into the US dollar.  We were the biggest consumers of everything & especially of things that were not essential to surrvival, that we and the rest of the world became spoiled.  3rd world countries that are growing, want to be like Americans that they see in the movies and on TV.  I think it will take over 5 years for our economy & the rest of the major countries' economies to recover.  If people aren't working, getting health coverage and losing homes they're not going to travel.  It's scary.

    P.S.  And, most of all, for the war in Iraq to end so we're not only killing our young men & women but also spending millions every week on a failed war that we took upon ourselves.
