  2. I think the steelers will be good enough to win the division this year. mendenhall was a huge pickup.

  3. They are really a great team and they are a strong team and really have tons of talent. But they are going to really work if they want to make it to the playoffs. Thay are facing the toughest schedule in the league by far and have some injury problems. I have high hopes for this steelers team. If they can get that 5th or 6th spot in the playoffs they will be a top team in the nfl.

  4. they will go 0 - 16

  5. Big Ben is as good as ever, he is a solid QB.

Parker is a speedster, and can move the ball, so Mendenhall can punch it in.

Santonio Holmes is emerging as the best WR on the team.

Ward does ok, but he is fading every year. He will still contribute.

Defense is still tough. But, we will see how tough when they line up against the Pats again this year.

They should win their division, but, Cleveland will have something to say about that.

It's going to be fun to watch.

Can't wait for the season to start.

  6. They're a very good team, though their record might not necessarily show it this year.  Their schedule is absolutely brutal, so I think 10-6 or even 9-7 is a realistic record, though that will most likely be enough to win the division.  I hope my Browns have something to say about that, though as GM Phil Savage said, they have to figure out how to beat the Steelers first.  Still, the division race will come right down to the final week.  Browns at Steelers, Week 17, for the AFC North title.  You heard it here first.  It WILL be for all the marbles, because there's no wild card coming from this division.

If the Steelers do win the North, they'd best hope not to draw Jacksonville again in the playoffs.  I looked up the Steelers' team by team record a while ago, and the Jags are one of the few teams the Steelers have a losing record against.  They have a chance to make a nice playoff run otherwise, unless they end up facing the Patriots, who they don't match up well with.

In any case, I'm ready.  Three more days--Let's get this party started!

  7. I love the Steelers, truth is they face one of the toughest seasons yet.

The Steelers will play a better Cleveland and a tough NFC East and AFC South.

That includes eight games against playoff teams from last year:  Dallas, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, San Diego and New England.

If the Steelers can face all those opponents, win the division and make the playoffs, then they are looking good!

  8. I think the year will be good and result in a division win. The big question is the O'line, but I think they'll perform better than expected. The defense should be stout again with the blitzing linebackers. I'm hoping Plamalu recovers from the knee issue. The rookies in Sweed and Mendenhall will do well too. In my opinion, there is no reason to not win the division anyway. Although, with arguably the toughest schedule in Pro Football, it will be tough to have that really impressive record.

  9. I think the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to have a tough year for several reasons.  1.) The Steelers have the toughest schedule playing the Colts, Chargers, Cowboys, Redskins, Jaguars, Patriots, and Titans which all of them were playoff teams. 2.) The young wide receiving core in the Steel City and the O-line not being able to protect Big Ben. 3.) The secondary giving up to many passing yards.

Overall the success of the Steelers season will be depending on the play of Big Ben being protected and how the young wide receiving core will adapt to the NFL style.  Prediction 9-7.

  10. I could see them going about 11-5 or 10-6, with possible losses against Jacksonville, Indianapolis, San Diego, New England, Dallas, and at Baltimore (haven't won in Baltimore for about 7 years I think). I think they can possibly get victories against San Diego and Dallas, because they have to travel to Heinz Field. The schedule doesn't worry me that much because people should know by now that just because teams were good one season doesn't mean it carries over to the next, unless it's an organization that consistently fields a competitive team.

That said: Bring on the Texans!

    Cheers!

  11. wild card champs

    divison champs

    AFC camps

  12. 12-4
