  1. Russia gets its way and kills (targets) innocent civilians as its neighbors sit on their hands.  The U.S. is demonized for the slightest thing (making a prisoner stand naked with a hood on their head, or getting barked at by a dog).  I understand Saddam used a chainsaw and acid baths to torture some prisoners, but he seemed immune to criticism and any retaliatory action.  Where was the U.N.?  Doing nothing except wasting money, as usual.

The double-standard never ceases to amaze me.  We are the most merciful major power in the world, but are regularly smeared by the same loser countries who sit idle as Russia targets, kills, maims, and destroys the homes of innocents while ruining a burgeoning democracy.

Can't wait to see what the next 5 years will bring in this world.  It should be interesting to say the least.

  2. Technically there were no war.

Russian intentions were the safety of S.Ossetia\Abkhazia and now (after the genocide Georgia made) the independence of these terrirories. (Russia always said that it respects georgian intergrity before Georgia started genocide).

According to this plan Russia can propose the following or other actions to UN (I don't know which one will be accepted, but Russia will insist on 200% safety for S.Ossetia, they won't survive another genocide):

    1) limit the georgian army with tanks, artillery, anti-infantry weapons.

    2) safe zone around the conflict zone in which georgian army cannot enter.

    3) International peacekeepers and observers in this safe zone.

  3. Russia will kick Georgia's ***.

  4. Russia is doing its best to secure a right to the oil resources in that area. Plain and simple, they are doing their best to be on top when the going gets tough when the oil get really short in supply and demand gets higher which is in the very near future.

  5. i hope russia will come to their senses and back off ..we have enough problems right now without that  ...but  bush is still in office so who can tell

  6. Never good, I hope the USA stays out of it.

  7. "Youngboy" - Great comment, I love it as you hit the nail on the head. When are countries such as Germany and France going to step up to the plate as these criminal Russians are right on their door step and Russian already kicked their a*ses at the end of WW2. Just watch Russia gobble up one small country at a time over there and see the ineffective EU do nothing. Russian has got the EU's number which is to supply and gouge the EU on all of their natural gas and oil supplies let these countries bark a bit, gobble up another country here and there, allow the EU to bark a little bit as Russian gets larger and more powerful and the EU gets smaller and smaller and ineffective.

In terms of how will this pan out, Russian will own Georgia and its pipeline eventually, we will do nothing about it because its not worth thermo nuclear war for us, and we will not care what Georgia thinks about us because they will end up thinking the same way about the EU, the media will eventually stop covering the situation and everyone but the people of Georgia will forget about this. Russian knows to do it know before McCain gets into office and their timing was absolutely well thought out and perfect from a military stand points. Further, there will be a huge humanitarian crises and the USA along with the EU will pick up all of the costs simply to make the EU and the USA feel better about themselves.

All I have to say is that its a good thing the Russians did this before McCain gets into office because he's just crazy enough to try to take Russia out and if I was the President, I would try to take them out as well and I wouldn't mind going down in a nuclear war and die trying.

  8. Georgia will get screwed and question if they should trust the West

Russia will feel embolden with its other breakaway republics

America will look like we did nothing to help another ally

The UN will again prove its worthlessness in doing anything for anyone

I'd don't like war but I wonder when is somebody big enough to matter to all the people that don't see a problem here. So is Germany OK to let Russia have? How about if they anex Japan? Shall we give them back all the Eastern Slavic countries?

I wonder how many of you also are the same people who just let a smaller person get the s* kicked out of them while you stood around and watched.

Why does everyone think that the eventual outcome is a nuclear exchange if we stare down Russia?

The president of Georgia had the right idea. Do exactly what the Russians did to us in Vietnam and place American soldiers at key points around Georgia so they can't attack them without risk to Americans. The Russians did it at the AA batteries around Vietnam and dared us to attack them for fear of reprisal if any Russian were killed.

Can anybody explain how Putin's Russia is different then a Communist state because I see no difference?

  9. It's pretty early on.  It's hard to say how it will end up.  My guess is that it will get ugly before it's over.

  10. I really hope Georgia comes out on top. Russia is nothing but a bully and a piece of sh*t country.

  11. "Que Sera, Sera"...(Whatever will be, will be.)

Just don't rely on the tabloids for your information.

  12. "let's play global thermal nuclear war"- mattew broderick

  13. The end of times are getting closer...are you ready?

Now look at it this way....the US does this stuff and calls it "liberating" people/countries.  Russia does it and its called "invading" another country.  Its all about oil, and as the gangstas would say...Russia is getting theres.
