How do you thread a Sears Kenmore 2142 sewing machine?

I think you got that number off of the motor.  If so it is not the model number.   To locate the model number tip the head back and on the long front edge which is normally below the cabinet or case you should see a series of 3 numbers followed by a dot or a dash and more numbers.  They are the model number information.  Thee first numbers represent the manufacturers code and the next numbers are the model information.  I need all of them to try to match it with the correct manual.  Linda at Relics
