How do you throw a perfect hook?

im already good at the jab and straight right combo. but need alot of work on my left hook

  2. Your elbow has to be at the level of your fist or a bit higher. Your arm has to be in an angle of 90 degrees to your elbow. Use your whole body to throw the shot including the shoulder (your shoulder should be "overtaking" your chin as my coach told me) and a rotation of the whole body.

    Most important: try to focus your punch that it reaches the maximum power right in the middle of your opponent face. Don't swing your punch to far, because if you miss you lose a lot of energy and you're not covered.

  3. go to a boxing gym and learn it there

  4. make sure the other guys head has fallen off before you start tucking the arm back in....

  5. elbow up, rotate the entire body, the arm stays almost (almost) static.
