How do you throw an after prom party in an empty house?

My friend moved away, but is coming back for prom. Her house hasn't been sold yet, so we can use it for the party. But it's completely empty... no furniture, nothing...

What will we need to make it fun? (not illegal things)

  1. you need music for sure and food is a good idea. also balloons and lots of decorations since its an empty house. i think it would be cool if you could rent some lighting effects too and a big cake is always fun but you dont reallly need it. once you get everybody on a sugar rush then you dont need anything but good music. for music maybe you can let your guests request songs. :)

  2. music is always good.  food is very important.  if there's a pool that's a plus.  nothing illegal means no beer so that sux (cause you guys are prollie 17/18 right?)

  3. I hate to be a voice of reason here.. but do her parents know your using the house?

  4. You're going to need lots of Michael Jackson songs and have everyone dance to them.

  5. Get a million shiny balloons and rent one of those helium tanks at Party City to fill them all up.  Put long strings of ribbon on them to hang down into the room.  Fill some balloons with air so they will stay on the floor.  Bring in a boom box with a 5-CD changer and one or two folding tables - covered with a plastic table cloth from the Dollar Store.  Drag in igloos with ice and sodas, and order in pizzas and maybe giant sandwiches from Subway to be delivered.  Instant party!

  6. An empty house is perfect (but make sure it's spotlessly cleaned up, because it still has to be shown) .....  Big pillows and/or beanbags to sit on .....  Have everyone bring a snack to share  .....  Big washtubs with ice, to hold cans of soda, bottles of water  .....  music (somehow) .... and don't forget to bring trashbags!

  7. an empty house is so perfect for an after party!! this is going to be great. so first thing you need, is music of course. maybe you can hire a dj?? if you cant, just have like your ipod on a dock, and put some music you want to have at the party and just put it on shuffle. there should be something in every room, i mean like in the family and living room and kitchen and all, all the open rooms, where the music will flow everywhere so there will be lots of room to dance. but not the bedrooms. so you should have all the lights off, and some nice lighting. or maye the lights have a dimmer, you can dim the lights to make it look nice. you should have lots of balloons on the floor, i mean lots. and you should have balloons floating on the ceiling and some hanging on the walls. you should also have like a cushions on the floor, or you can buy some of those pillows that cost like $2.50 at walmart, and cover them in some cool fabric. some chairs would be good too, like a few in each room, because you want people dancing, not sitting around. and yea you should have tables full of food and punch nd all, maybe you could tell your chaperones to make some cupcakes or cakes. nd yea i agree to have lots of sugar, because you need to keep people awake! you should really try to get your chapperones to to decorate and set up for you guys, while you guys are at prom, it would save you lots of time nd you'll have time to do other things. its going to be great!
