How do you tighten leaf springs to add lift?

While it is possible to re-arch your springs, my experience shows that it will not last. Second is to get an add-a-Leaf kit. This is a single strong additional leaf added to the original pack. Will work..but ride will suffer.

Beyond that, you are looking at after market springs.

You don't. You add extra leaves to the spring packs. Torsion bars can be cranked up to gain lift, but, not leaf springs.

to lift your vehicle safely, aftermarket springs are required.  I'm pretty sure that if you try to "tighten the springs," you're going to either mess your springs up or snap a shackle.
