How do you tighten the rear brakes on a BMX?

i have a diamondback demon BMX, and want to tighten the rear brakes. Please help, i have tried everything!

The Demon is a freestyle bike with U brakes, right? I think that bike is a Special Make Up (SMU) just for Halfords, but that really isn't your problem.

U brakes aren't meant to be locked up or stop you quickly. They are for modulation- to control your speed precisely. This type of control is much better when doing tricks than if you had a powerful brake that makes you skid.

So, chances are that you are experiencing the best a U brake can do.
