  1. A good way to spike at the net is if you start a bit further away from the net take two( May differ depending on where the ball is at the time) big steps forward, crouch, jump, swing your hand back and spike the ball with the palm of your hand. First practise slowly then you can build up speed until your ready to spike in a proper game. The best way to spike a ball is with the palm of your hand because if you spike with a fist chances are it will go in the complete opposite direction you want it to go in. As for a block hold your hands at the top of the net (unless your shorter so get ready to jump) And when the ball comes just tap it over the net downwards. Blocks are rare in a game. Hope this helps!

  2. Best suggestion - your eye movement should be ball, pass, ball, setter, ball, hitter. You should go up as the hitter's arm swing begins to come forward.

  3. For a block you should look at the players eyes and jump when they jump

For a spike wait until the setter sets it before starting your approach. The if it's a good set make your approch and slam it.

  4. block: jump when the opponent hitter jumps. try to estimate where the ball will go. you need practice to get it right.

hit: start 3 steps back. when the ball is at its highest point run up, jump and hit the ball. remember to follow through and snap your wrist to downball.
