My aunt's cat taught himself how to potty train and we laugh everytime he goes in there to pee.

I've had many cats and in my experiences there's nothing that you really need to do to train them. Just get them the cat litter and they instinctively go there to do their business.

The basic method is to gradually move your cat's litter box nearer to the toilet until finally it's next to the toilet. Then, start elevating the litter box day by day until it reaches the level of the toilet bowl. Replace the litter box with a metal bowl that will fit into toilet bowl and fill it with cat litter. The bowl should preferably have a draining hole. Then, start using less and less cat litter until your cat is comfortable. Then you can finally remove the bowl entirely you have a toilet trained cat!

This process will take several weeks depending on your cat's personality and your patience.. :-)
