  1. You can't do *69 if the person on the other end blocks their number.  So check with your phone company, there is another number you can press after they call that will trace it to the phone company and/or the police department.  Then I'm pretty sure you have to go down to the police station as a part of the procedure.  Hope this helps :)


  2. On your home phone line, dial *69, I think that applies to all phone companies. Some charge for that service while others don't. It will give you the number of who last called you, unless they have a block on their line.

  3. Call your phone service provider just in case your state is different, but in Ohio, right after the call, press *57. This records the caller's number through the phone company. There is a $3.50 charge each time you use this number and only the Police can access who called, but it can and will identify them for Police action.

  4. By trace what do you mean? Call back ? *69 or look at the number when you get the call. Who does the number belong to ? Try a reverse directory look up on the net.
