How do you train a horse to "dance" or called Dressage?

Please give all details no bs dancing. It's in the olympics.

  1. By training and teaching it.

    Dressage is a french term meaning training.

A lot of training.  It also helps to have a horse with the right kind of personality.  For instance, my gelding is incredibly stubborn and hot tempered.  He wouldn't be my first choice for a dressage horse.  The little Arab mare that I sold last summer, though, has a calm yet spunky demeanor; she's very eager to please.

    Mostly, a heck of a lot of training and dedication.

  3. lots and lots of hard work. it takes years and years to train a horse to even get to the point where they can even compete at the low levels the rider has to communicate with there legs and butt and it all has to be invisible.
