How do you train for 5k?

should i ride a bike or run? It is in October in Austin it is the Live Strong Challenge..My family is participating in memory of my aunt. I have no idea how to train for it...I'm in "okay shape" but could use some improvement...

  1. I sujjest you run at least 2km a day for a few weaks and every time you go run a bit further it really helps to do this for training

  3. okay, first you have to start slow. buid up your speed one small step at a time. get faster and faster each time u run. good luck!!!:)

  4. Runnersworld.com has a program where you type in some of your running stats and they make you a training program up to the week of your race. I have used it several times.
