I work out at the gym about 3-4 times a week, so I'm not out of shape but I would like to know some pointers? meal plans? if anyone has any ideas that would be great!

  1. Far too broad a question to answer here.

Check out www.transitiontimes.com or www.slowtwitch.com for great beginner training advice.

  2. Start swimming, cycling and running as your schedule allows.  Work in some bricks (bike and run training one right after the other).  Eat mostly complex carbs and protiens from whole foods, stay hydrated.  Don't chain yourself to someone elses training program, be flexible.

  3. My training method seems to be pretty effective. I will swim a 2000 two days a week, ride for an hour two days a week and run to and from the gym twice a week, and thats about 2 miles each way. At the gym i generally do some light arms and abs, so i dont get the anorexic look a lot of runners and cyclists get.
