  1. make sure when u play with her or pet her or come near her, that ur hands always smell the same.

  2. Make it smell u everytime you go to pick it up or pet it

Let your hamster settle into its habitat -- leave it alone for the first few days.

Figure out a name for your hamster. Repeat your hamster's name a few times every time you handle it so your hamster gets used to its name, and your voice.

Wash your hands before handling your hamster or your hamster might mistake your hand for food. Hamsters don't have a very good eyesight!

Play with your hamster when you're sure it's awake, and ready. Give your hamster some treats, so it knows you're a friend. Let your hamster get used to you. A hamster needs interaction, but don't offer too much!

Wash your hands after you play with him/her.

Try playing with your hamster towards the night. Hamsters are nocturnal, which means they sleep in the day, and are awake at night.

Make your hamster take treats out of your hand. It will learn that you are the one providing the treats and will be more likely to seek out your attention.

  3. If you have an old t-shirt that has your scent on it, put a piece of it in her cage. Each time you do a cage cleaning, put another piece in, but leave the old piece in for at least 1 more day. It will help her equate your scent with the safety of home.

Also, never give her treats through the bars of the cage. That will encourage her to nip whenever you have your fingers near the cage.

  4. what I would do is take your hamster out severall times a day and let her crawl where she wants to go!
