I am trying to transfer a video recording (8 mm cassette) through my video camera (camcorder), into a VHS cassette on my VCR... how do I go about and doing this?

Do I plug wires to the Camera and the TV? or Camera to the VCR?

Details would be nice,

Thanks in advance!!

  1. Your 8mm camcorder is an analog device and came with an AV cable. Yellow-video and either red-right audio/white-left audio... or if audio is mono (not stereo) then just one (maybe black) audio jack.

Plug the AV cable into the camcorder's AV port. Plug the Yellow video into the yellow video input of the VCR. Plug the audio into the audio jacks of the VCR.

Take the 8mm tape out of the camcorder and LOCK it - there should be a little tab on the spine of the tape cartridge - slide it so you can't see the color of the little tab.

Put the 8mm tape back in the camcorder and reqind the tape if necessary.

Put a blank tape in the VCR... Press record on the VCR... Count 10 seconds. Press PLAY on the camcorder...
