  1. If your computer has a drawer loading DVD drive, you can rip the video using HandBrake.

    If your computer does not have a drawer loading DVD drive (perhaps it is a slot loading drive), or it only reads CDs, you will need to get an analog/digital bridge.

  2. Assuming the drive in your computer is DVD ready, you can rip the DVD to your computer by draging the files to a folder on your PC.

    Windows key + E - This pulls uP a wonderful tool for sorting. You will see all your drives and can drag/drop files with the greatest of ease.

    You didn't give much data. So, this is the best solution I could come uP with. Making the VOB files work in Movie Maker is a whole 'nother question (assuming the DVD was burned to play on a set-top box DVD player)
