How do you transfer from a public high school to just taking online high school courses?

i thought google had to answers to all, but i guess i was mistaken. i need to know the steps i need to take in order to STOP public high schooling and START online high school courses.

You need to find out if there is a home-schooling program in your area that offers on-line courses.  Try private schools in the area - my little brother did home-schooling through a private Christian school.  You do not have to attend the private school but the way my brother's school did it was: there is a teacher that is over the home-school students and that teacher will watch over your education, set up the lesson plans, test you, etc. and then you do all of your studies and "classes" from home.

1. Go to HSLDA.org, find your state's homeschool laws.

2. Follow the procedure outlined in the homeschool laws. For most states it usually requires simply writing a letter of intent to homeschool and sending it to the head of the school district.

3. Choose an online school. THere are many. Some are free, some cost tuition.

4. Enroll in the online school of your choice.

5. Graduate and live happily ever after.

I personally don't like the idea of online school. I do a lot of work on the internet, but I'm not enrolled in an online school and prefer "real" homeschooling, but everyone has their own educational choice and preference. Good luck!

Er,  I think step 1 is getting your parents to agree that it's alright.  Step 2 is gonna depend on where you live.

its the same as transferring schools take to you high school and the online school. then withdraw from your HS and enroll in the OHS, but check for availability first cause many OHS are crowded
