How do you transfer media from your PC to your PSP?

I'm trying to put video clips and songs on my psp...I connected the USB, the computer reads that I have it in....then I drag stuff from the computer to the psp folder. when I disconnect the psp and try to play the song, the psp doesn't detect any songs on it, even though the amount of memory has gone down? What should I do?

What format are the songs that your using. Sounds like you need to convert them to MP3. The PSP is really touchy on that. You can load any kind of file you want on to it but you can only use a few types of file. So convert them to MP3. You are transferring them the right way.

1. They have to be in the correct folder, :\VIDEO and :\MUSIC

2. They have to be in the right format - Best supported MP4 (video), and MP3 (audio)

Make sure you drag the song into the MUSIC folder of the REMOVABLE DISK drive.
