How do you transfer memory on hard-drive to a computer and what are the basics of it?

Hard drive camcorders record files using one of the file systems supported by Windows operating systems - FAT32.  That means that when you connect a HDD camcorder via USB the computer sees it as another disk drive - you can then transfer files using Windows Explorer.  Some camcorders will be supplied with apps to help you manage these files.
