  1. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net

  2. Haha! I discovered how to do this recently and have been spreading the word as much as possible!!

The good news is - the music is easy to get to. The bad news, however, is that all of the song titles are coded and there isn't any logic to the arrangement and so sorting through it may be a lengthy process, and trying to locate one song would be like trying to find a needle in a pile of needles!

    Process:

    -Plug in iPod.

-Open up My Computer, then double click on the iPod icon.

-The folders you want are RIGHT THERE - they're just hidden, so un-hide them and you're on your way! (I'm sorry, I don't actually know how to do this; I'm not particularly gifted with computers, it just so happens that my laptop has a tendency to display all hidden folders and subfolders, whether I want it to or not - this is how I originally discovered this.)

-Now it's been a while, so I don't remember the exact path, but eventually there is iPod_control, or something, and inside there should be a bunch of folders each with one-hundred or so of your songs, each pertaining a four-letter name that is, from what I can tell, completely and totally random!

-Just sort through them all! (I say 'just', but I'm telling you, unless you only have a couple dozen songs, you're in for a looonng night.)

    Voila!

I hope this works, like I said, I know little about computers so I'm not certain it will all work, but it worked for me - I beat Apple!

  3. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

  4. Technically this isn't legal unless she owns the songs you want to transfer.

If you have a Mac, Senuti (http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/) and iPodDisk (http://code.google.com/p/ipoddisk/) will work great.

If you have a PC, i think this: http://www.download3000.com/download_266...

    and this: http://www.brothersoft.com/ipod-to-compu...

    should work.

  5. you have to authorize your aunts computer to work with / accept your itunes.

*to authorize/deauthorize a computer open itunes and click on the store tap at the top, it will be in the drop down menu, she will need your ID and Password.

Once you have done this when she connects the shuffle that you got her, it will tell her she has to either erase and sync or transfer purchases.  IT WILL ONLY TRANSFER SONGS THAT YOU HAVE BOUGHT FROM ITUNES.

Hit transfer purchases and let it do its thing.  She can just delete the songs she doesn't like from there.  Once she has done this she needs to deauthorize herself from your itunes, or anytime that she buys songs, she will be using your money!

Only other way would be to burn the songs she likes to a disk and let her rip them to her itunes.

  6. there are win/mac solutions for this...

http://www.ilounge.com/ has a bunch of articles on this... great for stealing friends music, or "backing up" you own
