How do you transfer songs from your iPod to your iTunes?

Question

My computer was all messed up, and all my information had been destroyed. Now I have a new computer, and I can't find any of the original songs that I had on my iPod. I can't figure out how to do it, and I really need help so that I can get new songs on it without deleting all the old ones. Please, anyone?!

It depends on how you got the songs on your iPod.  If you actually purchased them through iTunes, when you hook up your iPod the first time it should ask if you want to transfer your purchases over to your Library.  Make sure you say yes!

If you did them all through CD....unfortunately, you're going to have to reload it all.  For future reference, iTunes DOES have a backup procedure where you can put your library on CDs...it's a good idea to do whenever you make big changes.

itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

You can only transfer iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to iTunes while using iTunes. If you aren't prompted to transfer purchases when you plug it in, you can do so by pressing File>Transfer Purchases.

Or you can use a 3rd party software like Senuti for Mac, or Music Rescue for Windows.
