  3. The same way you transfer any video from any camcorder to any computer. It depends...

    ==> MiniDV tape based camcorders use Firewire. USB is not supported. iMovieHD or FinalCut require custom install of the Apple Intermediate code from the Mac's system discs.

    ==> Flash memory and hard drive based camcorders use USB. Standard definition require download/install/use of Streamclip. AVCHD requires iMovieHD08 or FinalCutExpress 04 or FinalCutPro2.

    ==> DVD needs a drawer loading DVD drive and a DVD ripper. AVCHD requires iMovieHD08 or FinalCutExpress 04 or FinalCutPro2. If slot loading either get an external drawer loader.
