How do you translate British prices into American prices?

I found a website based in Great Britian.. And I saw an item I wanted to buy. How do you translate the price of an item from the UK into American currency?

You can use google. For example you want know what 10 US dollars is in pounds:

Type: 10 us dollars in pounds

And google will convert it for you.

at the moment i think its around 2 American dollars to our pound, so double the price and that should be it xx
