  1. Are these a domestic breed or wild ducks?  If they're wild, you might not be able to catch and move them.  If that's what you're dealing with, try contacting your local fish and wildlife department about possibly relocation.  On a bright note, they are probably a migratory species if that's the case and they'll be moving on once their youngsters are ready to go.

If you have become inundated with domestic ducks, do you know where they came from?  Do they belong to a neighbor, or did someone just raise and release them nearby?  If they're domestic, you're going to need to find a new home for them prior to moving them.  You might be getting yourself in some trouble if you just dump them in a park somewhere.

If you can transport, a dog crate with straw on the bottem is a safe method of travel, or in a pinch, even closed cardboard boxes will work.  Make sure they have some type of bedding on the bottem, because they can ruin the tendons in their legs if they're sliding around.

If you just want to try to chase them off, have you tried an owl decoy?  They're pretty efficient at keeping ducks and geese off of boat docks, so this might work for your backyard, too.  Ducks are naturally terrified of owls.

We have ducks here (by choice) and a benefit to having them around is they are great at eating slugs and snails, which can really help keep pests out of your garden.  But if your ducks must go, make sure you are relocating them legally and safely.

    Good luck!

  2. Only thing i can suggest is attempt to catch them and put them in your car (obviously in some sort of containter) and take them to a pond or river!
