Question:

How do you travel by plane with a lizard?

i have a leopard gecko that i love more than anything and i might be moving to a different state and traveling by plane and i have no idea how that works, if i have him in a small plastic tank or something will they just let me carry him on the plane in my lap or something? i have no idea how all of that works and i cant let anything happen to him

and also how will my lizard deal with all of that? i know it will stress him out big time and i dont know what to do

  1. As long as you check with your airline and have him in a box small enough to fit under your seat you should be fine. Just make sure that anything you put in the box (ex: heat pads, any food or liquid) is ok to take through security.  


  2. you leopard geckos would have to go undercarage in the storage of the plane... this will be stressfull for him.. ive traveled with my many times.. and i do this... i usually go to the airport 2 hours aahead of time check him in.. they will put him in a safety box made of card board they are pretty sturdy depending on the trip put water in there and food and since the box will be really dark so he will be awakew i usually put a glowstick in there so he see's it and sleeps ssince he is nocternal
