  1. It sounds like your baby has eczema, but check with your dr. to make sure.  Both my kids have had it and they're usually behind the knees and inside elbows in minor cases but in severe cases they are all over the body.

  2. It's hard to say without knowing exactly what it is, but I think you should point it out to your baby's pediatrician. Usually (not always) a rash behind the knees (or in elbow creases) is eczema. It is not serious and can usually be treated with hydrocortisone cream. But please do ask the dr. before treating it, especially in an infant!

  3. i would try desitin clear. it depends on the type of rash though. but desitin clear is for all over. if that doesnt work i would try 1/2 percent hydrocortisone cream mixed with some petroleum jelly. i had to do that for a rash on my sons face per doctors orders. it worked well.

  5. IT could be due to heat and irritation from sweat. What I would do is use baby cream or vasoline and smear in on the backs of their knees everyday to lock in the moisture their skin needs to fight off rashes and to lock out excessive moisture(sweat) and heat irritation. Also try to keep baby's knees as free as possible..such as putting shorts on baby a lot more,or letting baby run around in their diaper so their knees are fully exposed and not prone to irritation. Try to keep pants off baby as much as possible because the pants will just rub the rash and irritate it even more which will make baby WAY more cranky in the long run.

You could even try putting diaper rash cream on the rash and see if it helps. I suggest A & D Ointment or Balmex.
