  1. I would strongly recommend that you don't trim the nails. As much as they may bother you when you hold it, the nails are helpful to a hamster. They play a big role in grooming. The nails act as little comb bristles, which brush the hamster's fur well. If you do want to cut them, a vet is the best thing. But you'll get used to the nails in about a month or less. They haven't been know to cut anyone.

  2. if you realy have too, you can file or your best bet is to go to the vet

  3. Oh i wouldn't do that.

  4. I dont think you should. If you really want to you should bring your hammy to the vet so they can do it.

  5. You can put something like a small brick inside the cage for the nails to file themselves naturally. You cannot clip a hamster's nails as they are too small and you'll cut the quick, causing the nails to bleed.

  6. I wouldn't advise even trying with a hamster.

  7. I would just take it to the vet to get it trimmed because if you do it wrong you could cut into a vain in it's nail and your hamster could start bleeding so if you are going to cut it yourself be VERY VERY careful.
