  1. To trim a wave, it helps to have a wave with a long wall and a clean face. You would like to be on the wave with the breaking part of the wave behind you. When you take off, you can either bottom turn and head back to the top of the wave or start heading away from the break. The idea is to get high on the face of the wave and keep the rail of your board into the face of the wave. This will hold you high on the wave. Head parallel to the face of the wave (as opposed to riding straight in). If your rail slips you will just head down towards the trough (bottom) of the wave.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for. If you have questions feel free to contact me.

  2. You might need breaking waves...........................

Do paddle workouts...get some power and speed and get proper waves. Not much you can do here......

  3. If you mean trimming you mean carving the face then what you do is when you pop up instead of going straight to the flats and doing a bottom turn simply turn in the middle part of the face and then start putting weight on your toe side and you'll notice you start to go up the face now put weight on the heel side to go back down this should be done in a fluid motion its easier to show then tell

  4. go to a beach with right breakers so that I can get all the left breaking waves without you snaking them from me =P
