How do you trot in a western saddle and how to choose the right gaming horse =]?

okay so i recently have started riding again

my parents want to buy me a horse and in a couple days i will be going to look at a horse yayy!

buttt i forgot how to trot in a western saddle ..

you see the last time i was riding i was riding english so i have no idea how to trot in a western saddle videos and or detailed answers would be awsome!

thanks also i would like to ask if anyone knows a good way to choose a good gaming horse mostly barrel just some ways to tell if its gonna be good er not
