You have to understand that porting depends on the size and shape of your trunk. Here are two examples of boxes that people have done for 3 Type R subs.

If you have big space you want to utilize the trunk space and port the box to make the space used as a box. If you have small space you want to use no ports.

To put three subs in a ported box it will have to be pretty big.

You may want to measure where the box is going and make sure it will fit.

If they are going in your trunk you may want to go with sealed.
