Something about built in configuration utility? I'm not sure, but I'm trying to get my ds wifi to work.

  1. Generally, this is controlled from somewhere in the router's administration web pages.  To get into them, connect to the router with an Ethernet cable (it's bad security to even allow wireless administration access) and enter your router's local IP address (see below on how to find it), into the address window.

Now for finding the router's IP address.

    1. Click on the Start button.

    2. Click Run...

    3. In the text box, type in

    cmd

    and press Enter.

    4. A black "DOS box" window will pop up. Type into it

    ipconfig /all

    and press Enter.

    5. A bunch of seeming gibberish will fill the screen. On the line next to "Default Gateway" your router's IP address should appear.

    Good luck.

  2. There should be a legacy setting in the setup, or at least a checkbox that says connect 802.11g only.  If you uncheck that, then b products should be able to hook up as well.  But be warned, one b connection slows all connections down.
