How do you turn a guy down without hurting his feelings?

This guy asked me out and i said i'd get back to him in the morning, so, what do i say if i don't want to go out with him cause i got my eye on someone else!

If the decision was beyond your control, he shouldn't feel hurt about it.

Any form of you not liking him is going to hurt.  I guess look for something that keeps you from being able go out with him?

If you say you're already taken, he would probably already know whether you are or arent if he knows you well enough to have asked you out.

You could say that you just want a relationship at this point.  That at least has a chance at not hurting, and can't be disproven (unless you start dating someone else soon after)

Really I would suggest that you just be honest with him.  It'll hurt, but he might learn from it, and it won't drag this out for weeks like avoiding him could.  I wouldn't worry too much about it; it's something that he's just going to have to go through a learn from.  Everyone does, and the sooner the better, in my opinion.

tell him all 6 of your step kids came to spend 2 weeks with you and their dad and your unable to go and then if he happen to see you with someone else he'll think your no good and won't wanna be bothered with you.

Just be straight up with him and tell him your seeing somebody else right now. So as to not really stab him throw him a bone by saying maybe another time. This way he doesn't get hurt and you come off as the cool chick.
