How do you turn on Nikon D80 camera?

I can't turn it on, but i'm sure it is the betteries. How do you take the batteries out?

How hard is it to pull out the battery? Seriously....

Maybe, you have to press the battery forward so that it springs out? Is the manual really that bad that it doesn't show this basic operation?

Turn it upside down and you should see the latch that opens the battery chamber.

And there's a small flat k**b next to the shutter that you turn it on with.
