How do you turn on the live histogram on a Olympus E5-10?

Is the histrogram only viewed thru the live view mode?

Of course. A live histogram evaluates the light as it's captured on the sensor. There are no DSLR cameras without live view that can give you a live histogram. You can view a histogram of the pictures you've already taken viewing the picture in playback mode and cycling through the various INFO modes.

Accessing the live histogram in live view is the same: cycle through the various overlays by pressing the INFO button until you see it.
