and I never got pop-up ads until 3 days ago when my brother went on MySpace. He got infected with something that looked like p**n that froze up my computer for a while and was stubborn to get rid of. But now I keep getting pop-ups. I did a full virus and spyware scan last night, quarantined some viruses, but I still get pop-ups.

  1. right click the internet explorer icon on your desk top...click propertys...then click the privacy tab....place check mark where it says turn on pop up blocker........also download superantispyware and run that on your puter

  2. on your computer(once in the internet explorer browser) right-click just below the url entry space and check the spot to show "menu bar" then click tools, then you should see "pop-up blocker". From there, you can access settings and put it to a degree of security that fits your needs!

  3. the pop-ups might be from the page you are visiting, or it might me from adware on your computer.

use firefox as your web browser (getfirefox.com), or Internet Explorer 7.  If you are still getting pop-ups, it means there is adware on your computer. not all virus software gets rid of adware.  Windows Defender is free software from Microsoft that gets rid of adware (and spyware and other malware in general) .

  4. I suggest that you use Firefox. If not Internet Explorer will mass up your computer. So use Firefox and it the problem continues Do your system Recovery.
