How do you turnon your ipod touch from the first time?

k so i opened the ipod touch and i plugged it in and i press turn on but it would never work right and it keeps on showing this thing where you see the itunes logo and a wire? what do i do to get it to work normally?

it means its charging.

so wait 2-3 hours,

and then unplug it.

then click the top botton for 2-3 seconds.

and wait !

When plugged into the computer the Touch will always show that. Let it charge all the way, then eject will iTunes. While it charges, sync stuff to it with iTunes.

Did you connect it to a computer first? It should show the apple logo and then load to the main screen if I remember correctly...
