  1. 1. Open downloaded file in PDF Writer (a software).

    2. write what so ever you want.

  2. You need either acrobat pro or adobe illustrator to edit the text.

You can download a trial version of either from adobe.com

  3. Yes, as Jmorge points out, there are some pdf forms specially designed to type into before printing them out but most are unable to be typed into without getting a pdf writer program.

If you have a form that can be typed into, the site you got it from should have instructions on how to use it.

There are some free pdf programs listed here, one of which might let you edit the pdf even if it's a non-editable type:

  4. You have to use Adobe Acrobat Pro.  The latest release is 9.

  5. typically the creator of the PDF doc will add form fields to the document that allow you to enter text into the fields.  If the person didn't put fields on to type into you're pretty much out of luck.  The only other way is to do like the other answers suggest...you'd have to have the full acrobat version to modify the document (but the full version isn't cheap either) ;-)
