Question:

How do you un-bleach something?

I was doing wash just the other day, and I tossed my favorite pair of jeans in, and poured a little detergent in there. Turns out, the detergent had bleach in it, and it collected in the knee of my jeans. Is there any way I can... un-bleach them? Or at least make them look more normal?

  1. You can try to rub the spot with a crayon the same color as the rest of the jeans and then iron the color into the jean.  Or you could cut the jeans off and make them into shorts.  Once it is bleached, it is bleached though.  The fibers will probably weaken at the bleached spot and make a hole earlier than the the rest of the garment also.

  2. Bleach removes color.  There is no way to undo that process. Your only hope is to try and redye the spot (success is highly unlikely) or bleach the whole pair of jeans.

  3. You can dye them.  Rit dye makes a denim blue shade.

  4. You can't un-bleach something. Bleach removed the dye. You can't remove a bleach stain because it isn't a stain at all, it's missing pigment

I'd just go with it, pretend its the "in style" faded look.

  5. If the clothes was white and his discolor like yellowing. I suggest trying a product called Super Iron Out this should help remove some it. You have to hand wash it several times and allow it soak overnight.
