For the average locker lock, you start on 0 and spin the k**b clockwise to your first number, counterclockwise past the second number and then to the second number, and finally clockwise to your final number.

First turn it a time or so to reset the tumblers.  Then turn it right to the first number (one turn should do it, but you can do more if you'd like.)  then turn it left to the new number, but you need to make sure that you pass the first number first (so that could be more than one turn.)  finally, turn it right until you get to the third number (you won't even get one rotation.)

than you will turn left and go to the second, but skip the number for example your turning the lock you see the number coming up skip over it and turn it agian and go to it.

than after you get the 2nd number go right and go straight to the 3rd number
