How do you unstick plastic trash cans?

I stack my empty 35 gallon trash cans, one inside another, to take up less room. Now that I need one of them, I can't seperate them.

Drill a small hole in the bottom of the first can.  This will relieve the air vacuum between the two cans.  The vacuum is what's preventing you from pulling them apart.
