How do you unsubscribe from a yahoo group that isn't moderated?

I've been a member of several groups on yahoo for years. 2 of them are completely overrun by spammers and I would really like to unsubscribe from them.

  1. The unsubscribe instructions are on the home page of every group, and at the bottom of every message you get from the group. Just send an email to the address given, which is (group's name)-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.  Make sure that you send your unsubscribe message from the address that is subscribed to the group.


  2. log onto the group- at the top of page middle click edit membership- next page bottome right click Leave Group- next page confirm by clicking Leave-

    you can leave by doing this through e-mail however that method has proven to have a great big delay in the unsubbing to go through
