How do you unzip what you have just downloaded?

if i downloaded sims 2 custom content into my sims 2 downloads folder...how do i unzip it to make it appear on my game?

Get 7zip first:

Once you've installed it, right click the Zip file and select 7zip => Unzip here.

If you have a Winzip on your computer, you can just easily right click on the file you have downloaded and just unzip it on your preferred folder (i.e the folder tow here your sims 2 is installed)

double click on the file name and it should start unpacking (most computers come with unzipping software on them)
