How do you upload a picture from your camera onto your computer?

Title says all.I have the cord but I don't know what to do after I plug it in.

after u plug it in something should pop up and ask if u want to transfer ur pics to ur comp... if not just go to my comp clik on the drive of whichever one u plug it into and then u should be able to upload

Once you plug it in and turn the camera on, your computer will recognize the camera and then you can move the photos to any folder you want on your computer.
