  1. More detail from you would have helped... like what kind of "Sony HandyCam"... HandyCam is Sony's brand name for all their camcorders...

This is for a hard drive or flash memory based camcorder.

If your camcorder is miniDV tape, you transfer the video from your camcorder to your computer using firewire - USB will not work. If your computer does not have a firewire port, hopefully it has an expansion slot so you can add one.

Once the video is in your computer and the video editor, it does not matter what kind of camcorder recorded it - the instructions are the same for all manufacturers and storage media.

  2. Plug in your camcorder with the USB cable that came with (or much preferably with a firewire cable if you have one).  There should be an option to import video.  Do that then save the file (for a short movie, .avi should be fine, for longer, you may wish to go .mpg, which is more compressed).  Once it's saved, go to upload video on youtube (go to account>videos>new>video upload) and follow the steps (make sure you remember where you saved the movie).  Any other info you need on filming or if I wasn't clear enough just e-mail me (gondorian01@hotmail.com).

    Hope this helps.
