How do you upload pictures from your digital camera using only the memory card?

Question

I want to upload some pictures into my computer from my camera. However, whenever I plug in the USB cable into the USB port, nothing happens. The camera is suppose to automatically come on and something is suppose to pop up onto the computer, but nothing at all happens. I notice however that when I put the memory card in, a light comes on, on my computer monitor. Does anyone know what I do after that to successfully upload the pictures on my computer?

Spend $10-15 and get a Multi Card Reader

You plug it into the computer, and put the card in the reader.

Download from there.

The great thing is that you can use it on anyone's computer, you don't have to worry about software,

You can keep shooting with another card if you want,

if you get another camera in the future, it will probably work on the camera too (as long as it uses the same card)

You can download your friends photo cards, on anyone's computer.

It seems that your camera is not installed on your computer and if no window appears then you should use the CD that follows with camera. Otherwise it shall not work.

If your printer has  3/4 slots on left side then one of these are for your memory card,Just read the code like xd, cds closely and find out which one is for your camera's memory card. After that you can follow the instruction on the display of printer or on computer screen.

To use the card, after the light comes on, go to "My Computer".  You should have a new "Removeable" disk drive.  Just copy/paste or drag/drop the pictures on to your hard drive.

To get the camera to work as you expected, you must install the program that came with the camera.  It should have been furnished with the camera on a CD or there should be directions for downloading and installing the software in the setup instructions.

If your trying to transfer photos from the camera to p.c you will need software drivers that should be on a CD that came with the camera. Install these drivers before connection camera to computer via usb.

Also note the camera must be switched on to upload photos to the computer.

I don't understand what you say by a light comes on  my monitor, please be more specific also are you using the memory card inside the computer or on the camera?
