  1. if it is a digital camera, yes, you need a usb cable. look for a port on your camera with a weird pitchfork looking symbol on it. thats  where it goes. and if your computer has a card reader built in plug in your card to the proper slot. if the autorun doesnt popup, go to my computer and it will be one of the "removable disks"

  2. USB cable, if it is compatible.

  3. if its a photo/video camera that has the feature of recording video, you just need a USB cable, and usually its all copy and paste, but if its a camcorder..

first you need video editing software that allows you to capture your video to the computer. Most video applications if not all (don't know for a fact) have this feature in there.

then, you need a USB cable, or Firewire cable, whichever your camera can connect to with the computer. Check your camera specifications.

Connect the camera and the computer with the cable.

In the video application go to the capture section....then set up the settings you want, turn on the camera, typically from there you can just click capture and the video should start recording into the computer.

This is a general example on doing this, when you have the cable and your video software, look up on how to capture video with that specific video program you have because they all differ especially at a detail level like video formats, etc. after this you should be set.

    Hope this helps. :)
